Restorative Dentistry

We have an array of different procedures to help restore broken, cracked, decayed, unsightly or missing teeth.

You can be confident that our minimally invasive and gentle restorative techniques will help you preserve your natural teeth for the later years of your life. In modern restorative dentistry the value of the bonding evolution has delivered huge strength and longevity benefits for damaged teeth.

We routinely provide state of the art restorations using composites and ceramics; we are an Amalgam free practice rarely using metals of any kind. We use this to replace missing and damaged tooth substance with an invisible transition to your existing natural tooth; using meticulous observation and duplication of the natural enamel character to achieve this.

  • Dental Implants – Dental implants provide an excellent solution for lost teeth without any risk or damage to other healthy or weak neighbouring teeth while shade matched to compliment your smile. We use the highly regarded Nobel Biocare (titanium) implants. Please follow this link: www.nobelbiocare.com for more information.
  • Ceramic Restorations – Crowns, inlays, onlays & veneers. Offering a number of materials including the beautiful and resilient EMax ceramic / porcelain
  • Root Canal Therapy – Our full protocol delivers highly predictable removal of root infection, with prioritised attention to your comfort and maintaining excellent bone recovery.
  • Crown & Bridge – Where teeth are badly damaged or even lost, truly life-like restorations can embrace the remaining structure to restore function and aesthetics.
  • Composite Post & Core Reinforcement – A far superior alternative used instead of metal posts to transfer strength from a remaining tooth root.
  • Composite Restorations – Tooth coloured fillings (mercury free).

Dental Implants

Replace lost natural teeth easily with the strong, reliable and natural appearance achieved with dental implants. Single tooth or multiple teeth and bridgework are secured to high grade titanium implants with delightful, predictable and lasting success. Guided Computerised Tomography (CT) bone imagery facilitates safe implant positioning

We use the premium ceramic “EMax” . This highly evolved dental ceramic produced by the German company “Ivoclar”, a global leader in dental materials. www.ivoclarvivadend.co.uk/en-uk/dental professionals/products/all-ceramics/ . The ceramic is glazed to mirror your natural enamel colours and surface reflections to provide cosmetic harmony with the natural tooth surfaces.

The “EMax” ceramic has extremely comparable physical characteristics to natural tooth substance, this with the evolution of dental bonding allows us to deliver the outstanding durability of our restorations.

I was recommended to John, as I was a very nervous patient and could be classed as “phobic”. I had to have emergency treatment – root canal fillings. I found John to be very patient and reassuring.

Treatment went well and it gave me the confidence to venture into more cosmetic work. My “phobia” which covered a 20 year period of neglect is well and truley cured. I happily went for bridgework and now intend to replace very old and ugly metal fillings. I feel excited to have better looking teeth, taking a pride in my appearance. John and his staff make for an excellent team. Thank you.
